My Aldi Meal Plan

The topic of  Meal Planning came up on the Green Bay Consumer Facebook page last week. Specifically because a reader noted that Aldi claims to be able to feed a family of 4 for a week for $73. I emailed the company and although they didn’t deny the $73 figure, they didn’t have a menu plan to back it up. I guess I took that as a challenge. I asked the readers if they’d be interested and was amazed to see the amount of positive feedback.

So here we go!

I have accumulated some favorite recipes that I rotate with some new ones each month. I’ve chosen a handful of those plus some tried and true basics.

I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does! My family consists of my husband, me and a feisty 2 year old. These recipes will feed us and makes plenty of leftovers for hubby’s work lunches.  I have given you recipes for 14 straight dinners. In most cases, a family will have leftover night at least twice in a 2 week period. For some of you this meal plan may take you further than two weeks. Cool, huh? Keep in mind I haven’t meal planned for breakfast, lunches and snacks. We usually do oatmeal, eggs, pancakes or cereal here.

You will have to adjust your grocery list and budget accordingly.

I tried to put the grocery list in Aldi Aisle Order so you aren’t running all over the store. I am hoping all the Aldi stores are similar in set up!!  Please check your pantry and cupboards before shopping. This could save you a few bucks too!!

  8. I’m not sure how soon or if we will be able to make this printer friendly. In the mean time, I guess copy and paste will be your friend. Maybe Jennifer can shed some light on “printer friendly”
