Consumer Advocate Clark Howard in Appleton May 9th

Remember when I said I didn’t always have time to write up the things I wanted?  This is one of them.  Sorry for such short notice!

One of America’s top consumer advocates and authors will be in Appleton on Wednesday, May 9th. Clark Howard is not some dry economics professor.  He speaks plainly and with a sense of humor, too.  He wrote a book last year called Clark Howard’s Living Large in Lean Times: 250+ Ways to Buy Smarter, Spend Smarter, and Save Money.  I was given the book as a gift and I have to say, it has a lot of good information and is written very well.  I highlighted and took many notes that have been inspiration for some Green Bay Consumer posts.

Clark Howard also hosts a popular TV show on HLN Network as well as a radio show that can be heard on WHBY as well as WTMJ radio. Regular listeners of Clark Howard have heard him advise people to pay as little as possible for his books, even if it means less money for him as the author. Now that’s my kind of consumer advocate!
