It’s official: Cabela’s is coming to Titletown!
“Wisconsin is full of people who are passionate for the outdoors, people who share the Cabela’s lifestyle, and who are known for their loyalty and dedication to sports. It’s a wonderful area to expand our retail footprint,” said Cabela’s Chief Executive Officer Tommy Millner.
The store will be located near Lambeau Field, by Copps on Lombardi Avenue, close to Highway 41. It’s all part of the Titletown Development area being planned in conjunction with the Green Bay Packers (they own the land). Construction on the 100,000 square foot store will begin this fall and a grand opening will be some time in 2013.
According to news stories, 1.65 acres of wetland on the site will be used when building the store. Ducks Unlimited is partnering with the Green Bay Packers to preserve and protect the remaining wetland area.
Not only is this good news for outdoor enthusiasts, the store will also bring about 175 jobs into the area, too.
I’ve got a couple of brothers and at least one sister who are gonna be pumped for this new store. Are you excited for Cabela’s?
