Happy 4th of July!
Remember in my Guilty Pleasures post when I said I was a history dork? Then you won’t mind if I include a link to the text of the Declaration of Independence. This year I hope to read it with the older kids and talk about what all that fancy language means. Of course, I’ll skip the greater details of how the document came to be and how the Declaration wasn’t actually ratified on the 4th. No need to confuse them any further.
