Taking out the Trash: Moonlighting

Time for another edition of Taking out the Trash, the semi-regular posts that may or may not have something to do with saving money but are not specific deals.  I have a lot on my mind so I’m cleaning out the “garbage” in my head by Taking out the Trash.

This week my friend Jill at Madison Consumer decided to move on to other projects.   I decided I was crazy enough to take over Madison Consumer as well as continue my duties here at Green Bay Consumer.

If you have friends or relatives in the Madison area, be sure to tell them about Madison Consumer.  I’ll be sharing the same sort of deals found here, but for our neighbors in the state capitol.

This could be very interesting; I can just imagine the kids getting sick and being so sleep-deprived that I post a Green Bay event on the Madison site or vice versa.  I know you guys will help me out by continuing to let Kristin and me know about any fabulous Green Bay-area deals you find.

The toughest part will be to pace myself.  It took me a long time to figure that out with Green Bay Consumer.  (Some would say that I am still doing too much with too little time).  Only time will tell.

I also wanted to say thank you to all the readers who participated in my Little Sam’s Club posting.  With your help, I am donating 215 items from my personal stockpile to the Boy Scouts’ Scouting For Food Drive tomorrow.  Boy, will the scouts be surprised at the bounty on our doorstep!

For now, I’m off to my weekly Digital Detox. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

  4. Digital Detox is when you log off the computer/phone, etc. for a while. I do it every Friday afternoon for at least 24 hours. I highly recommend it!

I am unsure if we will be lucky enough to receive it, but we still appreciate that it is going for a great cause!! Thank you again!! :)

  8. Actually, I think it will be my son’s cub scout troop that will be picking up; I warned the scout master to bring a big truck!

  12. You rock! I was so pleased to see that awesome Little Sam’s Club post in my FB stream. I definitely ‘liked’ it :) If only more people were in the giving mood instead of look-at-my-1000-free-tubes-of-toothpaste! I have the most minimal stockpile. It keeps my family stocked through a few sale cycles and that’s all I need. I can’t believe (well, I can really) that you are taking on more work. You go girl! Make sure to get some rest when you need it. We all can take a day or two off even outside the weekend to wait for your helpful info. I’m not super close to GB, but if I see any Valley deals or GB stuff I will for sure pass it your way. Big hugs and much thanks.
