2013As we look back on 2013, there were quite a few consumer stories in the Green Bay area that stuck out.  I thought it would be fun to go through our compiled stats and share which stories Green Bay Consumer readers couldn’t get enough of during the year.

The biggest story that was no surprise to us was Costco coming to Green Bay in 2013!  Every day since the news broke in February, more than 100 people visited our website for information on Costco building a store in Green Bay.  Every. Single. Day.  That story alone was viewed more than 18,000 times!

Our original post on Kids Eat Free (or cheap)! was our second most popular article.  People love using it as a reference.  We’ve recently updated the list and have included it on our home page under “Popular Posts.”

Gordmans coming to Green Bay! was another popular article from 2013.  Many people were happy to hear that the discount retailer was building a store in Ashwaubenon.  Our tie-in to that post with a giveaway was also a big hit.

Always a favorite since it was first published in 2011, our Which Grocery store in the area is cheapest? The results also garnered a lot of viewing.  My informal research done on area grocery stores and it’s follow-up article are featured under “Popular Posts”.

Free meals and more on your birthday was frequently visited.  Another “Popular Post”, I originally wrote it after my birthday in January of 2013.  It is definitely in need of updating as I’ve found out about quite a few more birthday freebies/deals since then.

Other articles that garnered a lot of interest included:
