One Click Digital: FREE source for digital audiobooks

Ever since I got my Kindle, I’ve used it a lot.  Especially once I learned that many e-readers also have speakers so you can listen to audio books.  That’s a perfect option for me because I rarely have time to sit down and physically read books.  But I can listen to them while I do other things.  Yes!  Multitasking at it’s best.

While you can get a free trial from Audible Audiobooks and then pay for a monthly membership, or use Overdrive (click here for more information), there are other places you can get audio books–for FREE.

Terra of Life as a Field Trip fills you in on a great Brown County Library resource called One Click Digital:

By now you know the library can be a great place to save money- free children’s and adult programing, a coupon basket, borrowing free movies and print books, and Overdrive for free ebooks and digital audiobooks. I love audiobooks. Love. Them. I listen to them every day when I’m driving, fixing dinner, clipping coupons, and exercising. I get all of my audiobooks whether on CD or digitally, from the library.

Once again, I’ll let a guest post by Brown County Librarian Terra fill you in on the details of a great resource called One Click Digital:

Free download: “Naughty” kids book

I feel the need to put a disclaimer up front: if you are easily offended, you might want to skip this post.  There’s  your warning.  I apologize ahead of time.

I firmly believe that having a great sense of humor while parenting has kept me out of the loony bin.  So I gotta admit, I think this is a brilliant title for a “childrens” book even though I haven’t read it: Go the *** to Sleep.

I just discovered that you can get a free download of the book at Audible.com.  Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson so I’m guessing there’s going to be some attitude.

If you like the book enough to buy it (it is the #1 seller on Amazon right now), you can get Go the F**k to Sleep for only $8.22 right now.  But that price can change at any time.

And I probably wouldn’t recommend reading this particular book to your kids. :-)
