Here’s a look at some of the things we’ve mentioned the past few weeks:

We also do a weekly round-up of popular weekend events, too.  Are we missing something?  Contact us and let us know; we’ll see if we can add it to our list!

wisconsin-dairyOne of my favorite months is just around the corner and you want to know why? June is Dairy Month.  One of the ways to celebrate is with the ever-popular Breakfast on the Farm programs held throughout the state.

The goal of Breakfast on the Farms (besides the intoxicating food, that is) is to promote Wisconsin’s dairy industry.  So many Wisconsinites are now “city folk”, they don’t understand how a farm operates!

Brown County’s Breakfast on the Farm this year is June 23rd at the Wayside Farm in Greenleaf.  This year’s breakfast will be served from 8am – 12pm.

Tickets are $6 for adults Children are $4.  For more information the Brown County Breakfast on the Farm, click here.

Brown County is not the only county to offer a Breakfast on the Farm.  Here are some other Breakfast on the Farms that are being held in Northeastern Wisconsin in the next few weeks:

I was lucky enough to have grown up with an aunt and uncle in Krakow who ran a dairy farm, married the son of a dairy farmer, and have a sister-in-law and brother-in-law who currently operate a dairy farm, too.  I can not imagine the life of a farmer and admire and respect all those that do!

Funding from Breakfast on the Farm is used to provide free agriculture education programs to students in area schools.
