My former stomping grounds is jumping into the daily deal world.  Local 5 (WFRV) is set to launch Deal of the Day on May 21st.

They’ll announce the deals by email and during Local 5 First News on WFRV-TV.

Local 5 is the latest media outlet to offer daily deals.  Cumulus Broadcasting, Woodward Radio Group and 91.1 The Avenue also have deal sites.  You can find all that information under Resources on the home page of Green Bay Consumer.

Is there room for another daily deal site (like Groupon,  Living Social, etc) in our area?

In case you’d like to learn more about the house that was converted into the winery, the Press Gazette had an article this past week.  Pretty interesting stuff!

Have you tried 1SaleADay?

1SaleADay is having a Flash sale today; new deals every 30 minutes!

If you’re looking for great deals on gifts this holiday season, I highly recommend you try 1SaleADay.  Unlike daily deal sites that sell you a voucher for an establishment, 1SaleADay sells specific products.  They have several categories with items in each category:

  • 1SaleADay
  • Wireless
  • Watches
  • Family
  • Jewelry

When I first tried 1SaleADay in May of this year, I got a metal business card holder for free.  Not too shabby.  Then, a few weeks ago they had a Flash Sale where they literally changed items every 1/2 hour.  I was able to get the Shark Infinity Upright Vacuum for $65  which normally sells for twice that price.  For the first time since getting married, I found an upright vacuum that I really like and the fact that I got it so cheap is great, too.

This is just one of many resources you can use to find great deals on specific products. For more information on 1SaleADay or to sign up for their daily emails, click here.
