Celebrate De Pere May 25 – 27
Celebrate De Pere is almost here! The Memorial weekend festival at Voyageur Park is one of the biggest summer events in the area. This year, the fun starts on Saturday, May 25.
The big draw at Celebrate is usually the music, with two stages hosting bands all day long. This year, the headliner on Saturday night is Sammy Llanas (formerly of the BoDeans) and Sunday is Laura Bell Bundy.
Of course, there are lots of other activities. A car show, rides, the children’s area, the marketplace, and the redneck regatta will keep your family plenty occupied. If you’re feeling athletic, you can even run in Christy’s Race, a four miler, on Sunday morning.
Advance tickets are $5. Tickets remain $5 at the gate until 7pm each night, at which point they will cost $10. Kids 8 and under are free. Also, all veterans get in free with proof of service.

Culver’s: Teachers get free custard on May 7, 2013
National Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday May 7th and Culver’s is another restaurant celebrating them. Teachers can bring in their badge and get a free single dish or cone of custard at any of the Green Bay, Ashwaubenon or De Pere restaurants.
A reminder that if you like Culver’s, you should sign up for Culvers e-club and text club. You’ll get an email for a free Value Basket with the purchase of a Value Basket coupon. If you signed up for Text Club, you’ll get a text for a free single scoop of fresh Frozen Custard with any purchase for joining.
The Cupcake Couture De Pere: Opening May 4, 2013
Cupcakes are all the rage, and now the Green Bay area will have another shop to celebrate them. Coming this Saturday is The Cupcake Couture in De Pere.
The new shop is located at 124 N Broadway.
Hours on Saturday are 9 am -3 pm.
