Time for another edition of Taking out the Trash, the semi-regular posts that may or may not have something to do with saving money but are not specific deals.  I have a lot on my mind so I’m cleaning out the “garbage” in my head by Taking out the Trash.

In case you didn’t see it when I shared it on Facebook, Hunts has issued a recall on select 8 oz tomato sauce cans.  Click here for more information.

McDonalds has created a new product called Fish McBites.  We can expect to see them for a limited time starting in February.  Click here to read more about it.

I also heard that McDonalds has a Big Mac promotion right now.

Is it just me or have their been an inordinate amount of food recalls in recent weeks?  I’ve posted them on Facebook but thought I’d also  mention them here since posts easily get “lost” on Facebook, especially with the latest Facebook changes.  This is what I could find for the past month that affects Wisconsin food sources.

Whew!  Did I miss any?  I mentioned on Facebook that I have 1/2 dozen boxes of Pepperidge Farm to return; I bought them at Wal-Mart when they were on Rollback and I had high-value coupons because they were a new product.  But call me crazy, I don’t like the idea of WIRE in my food.

This week WBAY did a story with Festival Foods suggesting we should always treat our food as if it were contaminated.  Meaning, wash those darn grapes (or whatever) before you eat them!
