Discount retailer Gordmans is getting ready to make their splash with a store opening on September 19th. The apparel and home goods store is located next to Ashley Furniture on the corner of Holmgren Way and Cormier Road.
After our trip to the two stores in the Appleton area earlier this summer (which you can read about by clicking here), my 10-year old daughter has declared it her favorite store!

When it was announced last year that Gordmans would be building a store in the Green Bay area, it got a lot of people excited – including me! I had never shopped at the store yet heard from friends, family and readers of Green Bay Consumer that it was a store I’d probably like.
So when Gordmans contacted me to try out their new gRewards loyalty program and write a review, I jumped at the chance!
The gRewards loyalty program for Gordmans is free to join. Members receive points for shopping at participating stores to earn rewards certificates.
- Earn one point for every dollar you spend
- Receive a $10 reward for every 200 points you earn
- Special birthday discount of an additional 10% off your entire purchase
- Earn points faster as a Gordmans credit card holder
- Spend $300+ to reach Platinum Status
Right now you can only sign up in store but online enrollment will start soon. Sign-up was quick and easy when I took my 10-year old daughter with me to both Appleton-area locations this past weekend.
Our first stop was the Appleton store on Calumet. My daughter and I were quickly impressed with the organization of the store and the selection of clothing. In fact, my daughter said, “It’s like Justice (her favorite store), only cheaper, which means better!” Their clothes were reasonably priced, but of course, the Bargain Sleuth that I am, we gravitated to the clearance racks. We were able to find my daughter a “fashionista” back-to-school outfit that wouldn’t break the bank. We also found a few accessories, too.
We also went through the home goods area and got some great ideas for the kids’ upcoming bedroom redecorating and reorganization.
Then we headed to the Grand Chute location near Fox River Mall which seemed a little larger with a similar selection. We did find a few more back-to-school clothes on their clearance racks including a Skechers top/skirt/leggings outfit for only $11 after using a 20% off one item coupon we got from our purchase at the Appleton store.
Our total at both stores was 12 items for under $100. With three of my four children in school this fall, I think I may be returning with my younger kids to do some more shopping. 😉
Not only did I get a chance to shop at Gordmans, so can you because Green Bay Consumer is giving away a $25 gift card to Gordmans to one lucky reader!
