Answers to Energy Eco Expo May 11

eco-expo-logoIf you are looking for ways to save money by saving energy or trying to make changes for the health of your family and environment (and these days, who isn’t?), you should check out the Answers to Energy Eco Expo.  The Expo will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 9am – 4pm at Shopko Hall.

Several seminars will be presented throughout the day, on topics ranging from rain gardens to solar energy.  There will also be a workshop area and a wide variety of vendors.

During the event, Shopko Hall will be powered entirely by natural, renewable energy, making it the first “green event” at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex.

Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up.  Parking is free.

Let’s Play Green Bay April 12 – 14, 2013

Shopko Hall is the place to be April 12  14, 2013 for Let’s Play Green Bay.  It promises to be 3 days of family fun with games for all ages.

We’re talking NON-electronic games like backgammon, chess and Monopoly.

There are also role-playing games and events, family games, collectible card games and more.

Advance Weekend Badge: $20/adults, $15 for kids ages 6 – 12.  Advance weekend tickets are available online and at Gnome Games in Green Bay.

Otherwise, ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults (age 13+) $10
  • Kids (ages 5- 12) $5
  • Kids under 4 FREE
  • WeekendPass- $25/adults, $12 kids, children 4 and under are free.

big-event-little-kidsSaturday April 6, 2013 is the date for the 25th annual Big Event for Little Kids. The event is being held at Shopko Hall from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

The Big Event for Little Kids is a fundraiser for Encompass Child Care, a United Way agency that runs seven day care centers throughout the Green Bay area.

What will you find at The Big Event for Little Kids?

  • Huggles the clown & costumed characters that interact with families throughout the day
  • Children’s stage entertainment
  • Hands-on craft projects for kids
  • Hands-on science and health activities including a hospital and dental area
  • Live animal exhibits
  • Construction vehicles to explore including a tow truck, and a backhoe
  • Huggles Store, books, stuffed animals, a raffle and kid-friendly food

Tickets:
Children 2 and over and Adults $8.00 ($7.00 in advance)
Children 1 and under 2 $2.00 ($1.00 in advance)
Children under 1 – Free

Everybody’s Rummage Sale March 23rd

More than 200 vendors will be set up at Shopko Hall on March 23rd from 8am to 2pm for Everybody’s Rummage Sale.  Admission is $2.00.  Parking is free in the Lambeau Field lot.

Items up for sale are your usual rummage sale items like:
